Internships 

Students are not required to complete an internship but most MSISPM students elect to do so.  They often work as interns in the federal government, think tanks, consulting firms and private sector organizations.  These internships further their career goals and add considerable value to their Carnegie Mellon experience. 

Scholarship for Service Internship Requirement

Students who are participating in the Federal Cyber Service: Scholarship for Service (SFS) are required by the terms of the scholarship agreement to complete a summer internship with a federal government agency. SFS students will complete the degree in 21 months and graduate in the spring of their second year.
