Center of Excellence
Carnegie Mellon is designated as a National Center of Academic Excellence in Information Assurance Education (CAEIAE). Jointly sponsored by the National Security Agency (NSA) and the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) this designation recognizes Carnegie Mellon's dedication to Information Assurance Education.

The program is aimed at reducing the vulnerabilities faced by our national information infrastructure and is set forth to achieve this by producing more qualified graduates in the various disciplines of Information Assurance.
Carnegie Mellon's ISPM program rose to the occasion in meeting the demands in Information Assurance based on the directives set by the NSA and DHS. Through this program Carnegie Mellon continues to play a vital role in policy, risk management, privacy and Information Assurance.
