We welcome partnerships with corporate and government clients who recognize the value of a Carnegie Mellon education and would like to make the MSIT degree program available to their employees. With a partnership, corporations may qualify for reduced tuition plans and customized program options.
Our current partnerships include:
General Motors Corporation
Carnegie Mellon and General Motors have partnered to offer GM employees a customized MSIT degree with a focus in Information Systems Management. This is only available to GM employees enrolled through GM's Technical Education Program (TEP). Interested GM employees must contact their local TEP office for complete MSIT-ISM program and admissions information. Consult the TEP website via Socrates at http://tep.gm.com or call the TEP Central Office at 586-947-0782.
Note: GM employees who choose to obtain their education on their own or through GM's tuition assistance benefit are not eligible for this specially designed MSIT-ISM degree. You can however apply to our standard MSIT distance program instead.
Intel Corporation
We are pleased to offer Intel Corporation employees a 15% discount off tuition.
Lockheed Martin Corporation
We are pleased to offer Lockheed Martin employees a 15% discount off tuition.
CIO Institute
Through a partnership with the CIO Institute, CIO Certificate program participants and alumni who apply and are admitted to the MSIT distance degree enjoy the following admissions and financial aid benefits:
- Advanced standing credit (24 units) for completion of the CIO Certificate (requires an additional essay with your admissions application that is specific to your work in the CIO Certificate program)
- Can apply to the MSIT degree program after successfully completing at least two course modules in the CIO Certificate program or within one year of completing the entire CIO Certificate program. That means you can work on the CIO Certificate and MSIT degree concurrently or wait until after you complete the CIO Certificate first.
- Generous scholarship awards towards MSIT tuition (last 36 units are tuition-free), making it possible for you to earn the CIO Certificate and MSIT degree for about the same cost of the MSIT degree alone ? essentially two for the price of one.
- U.S. government employees are eligible for a 15% discount on MSIT tuition
